USGBC Virginia's mission is to advocate and educate for sustainable buildings and communities across the commonwealth.
That is why Virginia has consistently ranked among the Top 10 states for LEED buildings since 2011. The community represents the voice of the sustainable building community in Virginia and works to advance LEED opportunities in every sector. Our members are a diverse group of developers, designers, builders, manufacturers, public servants, educators, building owners and occupants. We share a vision for our communities where efficient, healthy buildings save resources and costs, and are better places to live, learn, work and play.
Our network of members advances USGBC's mission locally by providing opportunities to learn, lead and connect:
- We host green building tours, education and networking events.
- We help our members stay informed of green building news and developments.
- We recognize and celebrate through the annualUSGBC Virginia Community Leadership Awards.
- We advocate for sustainable building policy and legislation at the state and local levels.
- We are hosting the Greenbuild International Conference & Expo in 2023.
