USGBC Arkansas is a nonprofit, volunteer organization formed to increase awareness of evolving principles of sustainability and green building practices, technologies, policies and standards in the state. It's comprised of two branches: the Central Arkansas and Northwest Arkansas branches.

USGBC Arkansas membership is open to all who share our goal of a more environmentally, economically, and socially responsible Arkansas that values and preserves our natural resources for future generations. In addition to supporting local programs and initiatives, our membership allows any individual to attend activities and educational programs at a discount, and participate in leadership.

We celebrate market transformation in Arkansas with more than 400 certified LEED building projects, over 40 national member companies, and over 500 LEED Accredited Professionals. Each year, we present monthly Educational Programs, offer LEED exam prep courses, organize energy code training classes, and present the annual Sustainable Arkansas Conference and Green Tie Awards Dinner.

We collaborated with community partners to build the first LEED Habitat for Humanity Home in Arkansas, promoted ADVANCE faith-based energy projects with CLEAResult, packed Weatherization kits with Interfaith Power and Light and held e-waste Recycling Days with Goodwill Industries. Our strong Green Schools programs including Green Apple Day of Service, award winning Green Schools Challenge, and Green Schools Coalition have impacted 40,000 students in every corner of the state.
