San Diego Green Building Council

858-357-3011

The mission of the San Diego Green Building Council is to inspire, educate, and collaborate within our community to transform our built environment toward true sustainability.

The San Diego Chapter began in 2002 when a handful of local building industry leaders came together to share their experience and knowledge of green buildings and the LEED rating system. Since the earliest days, local support of green buildings has risen steadily. We have more than 500 individual Chapter members that represent most every facet of the planning, design, construction and operations of buildings.

We firmly hold the vision that our buildings and communities will regenerate and sustain the health and vitality of all life within a generation. Our community leads the way, in the San Diego region our first LEED Certification was awarded in 2004, by 2010 our community achieved its 100th certification and by May 2012 we surpassed 200 certified projects totaling more than 22,000,000 square feet.

If you would like to be a part of this incredible movement, please use the link on this page to join our organization and show your local support for green buildings in San Diego County.
