Continuous improvement has always been a hallmark of LEED. With each new version of the rating system, we are challenging the building sector to be more resource efficient and sustainable but also evolving to meet the market where it is.

USGBC's Call for Proposal process to ensures that LEED addresses the urgency of today, while still planning for tomorrow.

Submitted proposals will inform future versions of the LEED rating system.

Proposals must meet the following criteria in order to be evaluated by USGBC and LEED Committees:

• Proposals shall be expressed in terms of actual edits to existing LEED language using tools provided by USGBC.
• Proposals for change must be specific.
• The rationale and technical justification for each proposal for change must be provided and must be technical in nature.

Multiple proposals for change from the same person/organization for each LEED credit are permitted.
