2016 Resilient Cities Summit Report

In December 2016, the National League of Cities, the Urban Land Institute and USGBC hosted the second Resilient Cities Summit in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The 2016 summit convened mayors, senior city officials, and nationally recognized experts in sustainable development, finance, land use, real estate, and infrastructure to explore how cities can achieve a more resilient future.

This report provides an overview and outcomes from the two days of learning, discussing, and problem solving that focused on the land use, environmental planning, and economic development decisions city leaders face when making a more resilient city. The report includes many city examples of resilience in action and many insights and resources for cities and advocates to learn from.
