Kelly Worden

Kelly Worden, MPH leads health-oriented applied research initiatives and partner engagements for USGBC. Her work aims to support and incentivize population health promotion through built environment practice. Kelly is a co-principal investigator for the Green Health Partnership research and development initiative between the University of Virginia School of Medicine and the U.S. Green Building Council with funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The Green Health Partnership has developed a variety of health promotion tools including the LEED Integrative Process for Health Promotion for use by green building practitioners and the GRESB Health & Well-being Module for use by real estate companies and investors. Kelly is a member of the NIH Health in Buildings Roundtable and an advisor to the Urban Land Institute's Health Leaders Network. Prior to joining USGBC, Kelly supported global advocacy and communications efforts at the World Heart Federation in Geneva, Switzerland. Kelly holds a Master of Public Health from George Washington University and a B.S. in Human Biology from the University of Texas in Austin.
